Grandparents / Dzidakowie

February 2, 2010

Grandparents!

A couple of weeks ago Joshua's parents came for a 5 day visit.  My kids love Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Steve.  They were very excited to spend time with them.  They especially enjoyed Grandpa singing songs to them.  Grandpa even left us a family songbook that Samuel and Isaiah love to sing from.

During their visit, Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to Stone Mountain.  It's one of the wonders of the world and it's located close to Atlanta.  It's basically a rock so huge, it's a mountain!

Also, the kids enjoyed Grandpa teaching them a family home evening lesson about their ancestors and playing a silly game called Mayhem.  From what I gathered you basically run around hitting people with a rolled up newspaper.  What could be better than that?

Grandma made some puppets for the kids and they got to decorate them.  Samuel decorated his with a mustache because Josh "had to" grow a mustache for his work during the month of January.  Luckily, January is over and Josh is handsome again…

I missed most of the fun because I spent the weekend on an Outer Banks beach in North Carolina with 15 other women and baby Mosiah, relaxing.  Though it was cool and off season, the beach was beautiful and very pleasant to walk on and collect shells and mermaid's purses.  To add to the loot I gathered at the beach, I bought a dried alligator head at a souvenir shop.

I returned home the day before Steve and Nancy left, so we had a chance to visit and they had a chance to admire baby Mosiah.

Dziadkowie!

2 Luty 2010

On nam nawet przywiozl te wszytkie piosenki wydrukowane w ksiazce.  Samuel i Isaiah bardzo lubia je spiewac.

Dziadek i babcia tez zabrali dzieci do parku "Stone Mountain".  To jest slawne geologiczne dziwo obok miasta Atlanta.   Jest to taki wielki kamien jak gora.  Dlatego tez sie nazywa "Gora z Kamienia".

Jednego wieczoru Dziadek opowiadal dzieciom historje ich przodkow, tez nauczyl ich grac w zwariowana gre "chaos".  W tej grze ludzie lataja i udezaja sie nawzajem gazetami.  To nowa ulubiana gra naszych dzieci!

Babcia Nancy uszyla kukielki dla dzieci, a oni je sami dekorowali.  Samuel dal swojej kukielce wasy, bo w styczniu Josh "muisal" miec wasy do pracy  (to taka zabawa w pracy).

Do domu przywiozlam muszelki, syreny torebki, wysuszona glowe aligatora.

Wrocilam w ostatni dzien wizyty moich tesciow.  Bardzo milo mi bylo z nimi spedzic czas i pogadac.  Oni tez sie cieszyli ze mieli okazje zobaczyc malutkiego Mosiah.

Grandparents are the best!!! I'm glad they were able to come down so you could leave town. We never did make it to Stone Mtn. Maybe someother time.

Yeah, Josh doesn't really seem like the mustache type. Is it rude to say he's better without it? His parents are so great. It's so important to have good grandparents so your kids are very fortunate, even though they have to spread the love around to so many other kids!
