The Wild Baby Shower

Today my friends threw a baby shower for me in the hospital. Everyone was so kind and generous. But a couple of my friends tried and succeeded in changing the atmosphere from mild get together to a bachelor’s party type event! And these are all good church going ladies!
Brandi brought all the yummy food. Tina organized the games. One game was passing around papers with a sentence that the next person had to draw. Then the next person had to describe the picture without looking at the first sentence, and so on. Well, the sentences and pictures got a bit out of control. I guess that’s what happens when the topic is about multiplying and having babies!
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts and for the love and attention. My 5 week hospital stay has resulted in my heart being filled and overflowing with the love of women---consisting of my family, old friends, new friends, the food service workers, scrub techs, nurses, and the housekeepers. All from different walks of life, but all equally full of the love of God. God truly created a masterpiece when he created women…we may bicker more, but we show our love more too.

Szalone Przyjęcie z Okazji Zbliżajacych Się Narodzin Dziecka

Dzisiaj przyjaciolki zorganizowaly mi przyjecie w szpitlalu na ktore wszycy przynosza presently dla nowego dziecka. To najczesciej bardzo spokojne przyjecie. Ale pare moich kolezanek zmienily atmostfere tego przyjecia na troche szalone. Te kobiety to wszystkie chodza pilne do kosciola!
Moja przyjaciolka Brandi zorganizowala jedzenie, a przyjaciolka Tina zorganizowala gry. Na jednej grze kazdy mial cos napisac na kartce, a potem nastepna osoba miala narysowac co bylo napisane. Potem kartka miala byc zlozona, i nastpena osoba miala napisac o tym co bylo narysowane, i tak dalej. Ten temat o rodzeniu dzieci byl troche szalony, bo rysunki i zdania byly troche niestosowne. Chyba dlatego ze temat i rysunki byly o mnozeniu i rodzeniu dzieci!
Dziekuje wszytkim za prezenty, milosc, i troske. Prez 5 tygodni w szpitalu moje serce jest wypelnione miloscia od kobiet z mojej rodziny, moich starych kolezanek, moich nowych kolezanek, pielegniarek, pan ze stolowki, i sprzataczek. Wszystkie te kobiety sa z innych drog zycia, ale wszystkie tez sa pelne miloscia Boga. Bog stworzyl cud jak stworzyl kobiety. Choc wiecej sie klocimi, tez bardziej pokazujemy sobie na wzajem milosc.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful baby shower there, but with wonderful sisters there like Brandi, Tina, and Sara who would expect anything else? Fabulous ladies.

Looks like you girls had a great time. It must seem like you have been in the hospital forever. I am keeping you in my prayers. Looking forward to seeing pictures of you and your new little boy when he gets here.
Your post sums up what our Relief Society lesson was all about today...except for the racy shower games. Isn't it great to belong to an organization with such devoted and caring women?
Sylwia, It was so much fun at your shower! Lila enjoyed the snacks and new place to roam, and I - as ALWAYS - got caught on camera chewing a mouthful. (Or else it looks like that when i'm laughing??) Ah, story of my life.
