Horse Camp / Oboz z Koniami

Horse Camp

Since we only have a month left in Georgia, I wanted to make sure that my kids got a chance to attend the week long summer Horse Camp here on base.   When would we get such an opportunity again?

Samuel and Isaiah were the only ones old enough, and they had the time of their life, taking care of and riding horses.  Every morning they cleaned out the stables, walked the horses, rode them, washed them, fed them, cleaned out their hooves, brushed them, saddled them, etc, etc.

Hilltop Riding Stables is an amazing facility.  I have never seen horses so well taken care of, living in stables so clean.  It only makes sense, since the kids "get" to do all the work.

Both Samuel and Isaiah wish we could stay here in Georgia so that they could work in the stables over the summer, when they are teenagers, running summer camps.  Here is one of the camp songs they learned:

Does your girth hang low?

Does it travel to and fro?

Can you tie a safety knot?

Can you wrap a lattego?

Can you throw your stirrup over?

Is it leather, is it old?

Does your girth, hang, low?

Oboz z Koniami

Samuel i Isaiah by chcieli tu w Georgia zostac aby mogli tam w stajni w lato pracowac jak beda mieli powyzej 14 lat.  Ale niestety przeprowadzamy sie do Nowego Yorku.

What an awesome experience! I love the Aquafina soccer jersy. James still wears his too and it actually fits now!

I'm dying to hear what's come of your housing situation! Please update me sometime . . . when you're not crazy busy moving. Good luck!
