Sarah!

October 25, 2007

Joshua's youngest sister Sarah had a free airplane ticket that she had
to use up before November and she had a five day break from work, so
she decided to come and visit us here in Georgia.  Sarah works at an
alternative high school with troubled teenagers and she lives with her
perfect husband Jacob in Phoenix Arizona.

We decided to do a little bit of sightseeing while Sarah was here, so
in Augusta we took her on a walk in the forest, a walk in the Phinzy
Swamp, and on the river walk by the Savannah River.  Sarah is a fun
aunt to have around because she likes to read books to kids and play
ball with them.  She has interesting stories from her mission in Texas
and she is very nice and helpful to have around.

Sarah's airplane ticket was not valid to Augusta so we picked her up
and drove her to Atlanta Georgia.  We used this opportunity to visit
the largest aquarium in the world there.  The aquarium was very nice
but very expensive; $20 per person with the military discount; $27
without.

The Atlanta Aquarium is the only aquarium large enough in the US to
house whale sharks.  I didn't take many pictures there because it
looked like they weren't coming out very well.  Now I regret it,
because it looks like they came out just fine.  One of our favorite
exhibits there was the Beluga Whales.  They were so relaxing to watch,
I could have watched them all day, and I still get a feeling of peace
when I think about them.

Another favorite exhibit was the Garden Eels.  Unfortunately I did not
take any pictures of them.  They are tiny eels that have different
colors; some have stripes and some have spots and they live in the
sand slopes just off the coral reefs.  They stay in one spot most of
their lives because part of their body is always buried in the sand,
and they look like colorful grass.  When fish come along they
disappear instantly underground, but as soon as the coast is clear
they peek out again.  They look like beautiful colorful grass swaying
in the current of the ocean.  We also like the jellyfish and the
opportunity to touch sting rays and sharks with our hands.

Enjoy the pictures!

25 Pazdziernik 2007

Mojego meza najmlodsza siostra Sarah przyjechala nas odwiedzic tu w
Georgia na kilka dni.  Ona miala darmowy bilek ktory musiala zluzyc
przed koncem roku, wiec sie bardzo ucieszylismy jej wizyta.  Sarah
mieszka w stanie Arizona ze swoim doskonalym mezem Jakubem.  Sarah
pracuje jako nauczycielka w szloke sredniej dla zle wychowanej
mlodzierzy.

Jak Sarah przjechala to pokozalismy jej dookola miasta Augusta gdzie
mieszkamy.  Poszlismy na spacer w lesie, na spacer w bagnie, i na
spacer nad rzeka Savannah.   Sarah jest bardzo fajna ciocia bo lubi
dzieciom czytac ksiazki i grac z nimi w pilke.  Sarah nam opowiadala
fajne wydarzenia z jej misji w Teksasie.  Tez Sarah jest bardzo
pomocna i mila i fajnie jest z nia spedzac czas.

Sahry samolot przyjechal do miasta Atlanta w ktorym jest nawieksze
akwarium na swiecie.  Wiec razem z Sahra odwiedzilsmy to piekne choc
drogie akwarium.  Bilet z znizka dla wojska kosztowal 20 dolarow na
osobe, a bez znizki 27 dolarow.

dobrze wyszly.  Najbardziej nam sie podobaly Beluga Wieloryby.  Ta sa
take piekne biale wieloryby.  Bardzo jest relaksujaco je ogladac.
Caly dzien bym mogla je ogladac.

Tez nam sie podobaly takie malutkie Ogrodowe Wegorze.  One zyja w
piasku obok raf w oceanie.  Wygladaja jak kolorowa trawka, bo czesc
ich ciala  jest zawsze pod piaskiem.  Jak sa dookola nich ryby to sie
chowaja pod piaskiem, a jak nikogo nie ma to wychodzo i wyladaja jak
kolorowa trawka w oceanie. Tez nam sie podobaly groznie medusy, no i
dzieci tez lubily dotykac bezpieczne rekiny i trygony, rekami.

Milego ogladania zdjec!
